How autism is treated.
Owning a favoured may play a role in public skills development for some children with autism, a new study suggests. To do so, she conducted a give survey with 70 parents of children diagnosed with any autism spectrum disorder.
The parents answered questions about their child's attaching to their dog and their child's social skills, such as communication, responsibility, assertiveness, empathy, post and self-control. Carlisle also interviewed the children about their connection to their pets. The children were between the ages of 8 and 18. Each child had an IQ of at least 70, according to the study.
